a new season

Sidestep garden with succulents.

weeks have whirled by way too fast with spring teasing us with her woos of the eighties and her dropteases of the forties.

change permeates the air on this lot of land. not scary change, but exciting change. in my forty-seven years, i have finally learned that where you are not supposed to be can direct you to where you are supposed to go.

that is good stuff, man.

the ceiling can't hold us

studio order
this past weekend was a live-in fuzzy houseshoes and clean up the studio weekend. the fuzzy shoes were the easy part. this sunday, i need to finish up, but you can now take off your seatbelt and move about the cabin freely.
ceiling necklaces
macklemore is right. the ceiling can't hold us, but it can be donned with necklaces. okay, maybe they are a tad bit visual clutter, but they make me happy every time i walk in.
studio workspace
studio workspace
studio stranded
i had been using the wall behind the computer and worktable as a ginormous inspiration board, but with every other wall used for storage or graphics, i needed some visual quiet.

opening up the large wall allowed me to repurpose two vintage birdcages as lights, i now have light over the old worktable. you can see a six-minute clip here.

but found

love unearthed

unearthed in the coop.
love might not be in the air
but found in the dirt.

and a big pig tumped it over

the bed end table

for the past year, i have been in need of a bedside table. yet, there was no room for one since the bed is squeezed between the door and the wall.

i had found the adjustable slatted top in the trash down the street a few years ago and set it on two upturned flowerpots for a bench. this bench lived in the garden before the pigs. before the pigs and after the pigs are our new references of time.

ralph started tumping (southernspeak for "knock over" or "spill") it over to root in the rocks underneath it. maybe, he was rooting around for a solution for me. either way, a big pig tumped it over and gave me the idea to bring it in.

with the purchase of four cinder blocks, i now have a bedend table. before the pigs, i didn't have a table, so thank you, ralphie.
